Transfer 8 Week 2 December 8 2014

Well, I had another really great week. with a lot of really cool experiences.
This week we had a Christmas conference for the missionaries. All of the missionaries here in Piedras Negras, Acuña, Allende and Zaragoza came to Piedras Negras for it. We started with a small devotional from the zone leaders and then we practiced some Christmas Hymns. My district leader Elder Ashby and I both brought our guitars. Then we went out to do some contacts! My district contacted about 70 people! We passed out cards, pamphlets, and Christmas videos. Then we went to the border to sings some hymns. Elder Ashby and I took out the guitars and quite a few people started to gather around. We sang Silent Night, Angels we have Heard on High, and Oh Come all ye Faithful. Many people ended up singing along with us as well! It was a really awesome experience!
After that we had a short message from the mission President and we then ate some food! It was really good! And we ended it all with a gift exchange! It was a really good time!
Last week we recieved a refferal from a member of the ward. We went and we had a really great lesson with them, and then invited them to go to stake conference this weekend. And they came! it was really cool. It is the Garcia Family, and I think that they are going to progress really well. We had a total of 4 investigadors go to the conference with us. Hopfully we will be able to get some baptisms this transfer.
The conference was really cool. Two young men from my ward who are about to send their mission papers spoke. They both did a really good job! Two people who recently returned from their missions also spoke and did a great job!
My new companion and I are getting along really well! We work well together. I am looking forward to the rest of this change.
Elder Earl
